We have just seen India’s biggest fashion week and they have loads of new fashion trends which we can carry in our festive and wedding season. We all want to wear Indian or something with Indian touch in all of our festivals or if we want to attend someone’s wedding. How about adding some fusion to the Indian wear this season?
We got invited to attend Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring Summer 15. I have seen many shows, and learn many new and fascinating styles. Doing fusion with our Indian wear is one of them. Indian culture has always been known primarily for its diversity and color and adding it with the chic western attire which makes it not only chic and stylish but it also manages to retain the essence of the Indian ethnicity and the flavor of our customary festivities. Fashion Designers like Rohit Bal, Payal Singhal, Nida Mehmood, Anupama Dayal and many more showed their way to blending the western wear with Indian wear and created ‘Indian fusion wear’.
You can wear the bright and bold colors Saris with crop tops, peplum tops, your denims, collared shirts, etc. with various different styles. The traditional Kurtis seems to be undergoing a change of sorts too. Pair a short kurti with either a pair of denims on stilettos, or with a long skirt. Embroidered Kurtis with palazzo pants or Chinese collared Kurtis with harem pants also look quite trendy, yet traditional at the same time. You can even wear different styles of pants available in the market. My favorite style of pants is the dhoti style. They look so ethnic and chic. Wear it with crop top just like Joy Mitra paired it!
So, if are planning to wear something Indian but not sure what it should be then think about the above options and I’m sure it will help you out. Thank you so much for reading!
