Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse – Full Review & Price

I would choose a BB cream or a tinted moisturiser over foundation, on any given day. But I decided to give the foundation a chance about a year ago, and ever since I have been hooked onto the Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse. I was surprised at how soft and light it felt against my skin. Since I don’t need heavy coverage as I only have some spots on my right cheek and light under-eye circles. The shade I use is Classic Ivory Light 2 and it suits my skin tone perfectly. This is definitely my go-to foundation.

My verdict about the Product:

The packaging is a very sturdy glass tub with a plastic lid on it. Since it is a mousse base foundation, the packaging is perfect. However, this kind of packaging may raise some hygiene concerns-so always remember to wash your hand thoroughly before applying your make-up or use a spatula. The packaging is further very travelling friendly and I can easily carry it in my handbag daily.

The consistency is very light and feathery. The texture is buttery soft and spongy. Glides easily on the skin and blends easily.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation is not very time consuming to apply, it glides and blends like a dream. This foundation gives a medium coverage, evens out my skin tone and hides minor flaws and pores. It gives a very matte and dewy finish to my skin. However, after applying this foundation I always apply my L’oreal Mat Magique compact powder to make it last longer. After 4-5 hours, when my T-zone tends to get oily, I go in for a touch up with my compact powder.

  • Needs a touch up constantly

Rating: 4/5

Only give it a shot if you find the exact shade that matches your skin tone and also if you have combination skin. Thank you so much for reading!
