Indian marriages are known for their opulent and vibrant look but in reality there is more than just the glamour in the ceremony. Indian weddings are traditionally multi-day affair including many ceremonies. There is nothing like an Indian wedding. From shining jewellery to glittering dresses, one gets to see it all.
We went to ‘Wedding Asia’ exhibition a few days ago. Wedding Asia hosts a number of wedding shows across India. Each show is a one-stop shopping experience where you and your entire bridal party can walk along the aisles of the country’s best wedding products and services in one convenient location. We were so thrilled to see the entire set up which was on an Indian Wedding. Even the main entrance had a little wedding touch.
We got super excited when we entered the hall as we could see different stalls by talented designers. The dresses designed by them were beautiful which included ‘Bridal Lehngas, Anarkali dresses and even Gowns’. We saw some really good work out there and you have to believe me because the entire section was surrounded by women :). There were sections for shoes as well. They had a good collection of ‘juties and mojeries’.
Dresses are incomplete without the right kind of jewellery especially in an Indian wedding. There were many stalls which were put up by Jewellery designers and I must say the designs were to die for. From subtle diamonds to elite Kundan, they had it all.
You have to agree that in Indian weddings, food plays a very important role. So wedding Asia has stalls which were put up by some caterers. And the best part, we got to taste a few starters and deserts which was lip smacking. There were stalls which were also put up by Wedding Planners and Invitation Designers. And I must say that their presentation was the highlight. I have yet to see such beautiful handcrafted invitations and such a beautiful set up.
It was an amazing experience. Unfortunately, we could not get many pictures to show you guys, but I hope the one’s we got, you will simply love them.
