Blue-Heaven: Denim Shirt & Printed Legging

Blue-Heaven: Denim Shirt & Printed Legging

Hi Everyone!

I love winter, especially wearing long coats, fur sweaters, leather jackets and also you can do amazing layering. Currently in Delhi the minimum temperature went down to 3 degrees and its tremendous cold here. It’s very important to actually layer your pairings and keep yourself warm.

In this pairing I have paired a sweater with a denim shirt. I love my faceprint leggings which I recently bought from Myntra. Earlier, I use to have the same leggings, but as I wore them extensively, they got destroyed, thus I ordered another one. These days I love wearing prints. So I have to pair this printed bag with the leggings.

To keep myself comfortable for the rest of the day I paired the wedge sneakers. Wedge sneakers are amazing to add height and it also looks like your normal sneakers as the heels are inside and kind of not visible. These sneakers are so much in trend and people like us who does not have very good height simply love it. With this pairing, I initially took a single stroll, but I wanted the strolls to look heavily, thus I added another stroll with it and it actually looked good. Always style your pieces according to your mood and comfort no matter  what people say. If you will be comfortable, it will automatically will look good.

Axis PAY UPI: Your Friend in this Cash Crunch

Hi Everyone!

December is the most exciting month of the year and this year it’s the most exciting in India yes I’m talking about demonetisation. With long queues in front of the ATM and banks people are turning towards different modes of payment to pay their utility bills and even buy groceries thanks God it happened in smartphone world where we have apps like freecharge or even paytm to make our life a little easier. But, yes there’s always a but, these apps comes with some limitations that is, a user can transfer money to paytm wallet to pay utility bills but once you put money into these online shopping wallets you can’t withdraw your money you just have to spend it all there.

Enter Axis Bank UPI PAY

A very simple cash transfer app which is a god’s gift during these days. So how does it work? You can link any bank account thru this app to transfer and receive payments. It is all hard cash and works as fast as a text messages be it a tuition fee, groceries, apartment rent, wedding decorator it does all. Let’s go thru the steps:

To benefit from this app both sender and receiver have to download Axis Bank UPI pays app from play store. (Currently the app is only for Android OS, user with ios, windows, blackberry will have to wait to get their hands on this app)

Once you’ve downloaded the app Set profile name and 6 digit passcode (known only to you)

Now Create a unique id eg- name@axisbank, before you ask yes all unique id has to have @axisbank to their ID.

Now link your bank account to your id from the drop down menu.

Verify your account using your debit card credentials and OTP (this will be a one time process only) and set an M pin for money transfer. Note- do not disclose the M pin to anyone because it is the pin that approves the payments.

And voila, registration is done.

Now if you have to send payments ask for the receiver’s unique id, Enter the amount you wish to send to the receiver and send the money by entering M pin. It’s that simple. Also the Bank account you wish should have your registered phone number and that number can only be linked with the app. The Maximum fund transfer is 100000Rs in one go and the Maximum fund transfer per day limit is 500000Rs.

The App follows all security guidelines of RBI, so forget long queues, NEFT forms, tons of details about beneficiary all you need is a unique ID of the sender or receiver with AXIS BANK UPI PAY app. Just one id . WOW, now that’s what you call a smart design. Go check the app on the play store now you’ll see what I’m talking about. Till then work smart.

The New VIVO V5 Perfect Selfie Phone

The New VIVO V5 Perfect Selfie Phone

Hi Everyone!

Smart phones changed everything! Look around, ordering favourite products at home, personal video conferencing, live videos capturing every moment, groceries at your doorstep and what not. Smart phones pushed boundaries in every corner but we are still hungry for more. To push our boundaries, the technology needs to be better too. We need better smart phones which are faster, heavy duty, durable and which can last long. Very few companies are there that are manufacturing smart phones of the future. One such company is Vivo and yes, I am talking about their new semi flagship phone VIVO V5.

The operating system here is Funtouch OS 2.6 which is based on our wonderful Android 6.0 marshmallow. It packs with Octa-core 64 bit processor also comes with 32GB internal storage which can be extended up to 128GB and yes, it also comes with 4GB RAM that means no waiting zero lags. On the display you’ve got gorgeous looking IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 5.5 inch Corning gorilla Glass with HD720x1280 pixel resolution. It’s a 4g phone with dual SIM slot and expandable memory slot.

And now everyone’s favourite part camera! VIVO has extraordinary 20Mp front facing camera that is the biggest front facing camera I think in the smart phone verse. It has Apertures at F/2.0 which means you can take beautiful photos at low light and during night time. The signature part of the front facing camera is the moonlight selfie technology, which means the front facing flash is not hard on the face and eyes, but gives a softer radiant complexion like some studio photography on models. All new face beauty camera mode gives a fresh glow to the skin and the entire photo. The processing is natural here so the photos look life like and with that goodbye to the bad skin day. Vivo V5 also has front facing blazing superfast fingerprint scanner which takes you from standby mode to your home screen in just 0.2 Sec. That’s not it, it also has 13MP rear facing camera with HDR that VIVO Co-engineered with SONY to capture beautiful high quality pictures with extraordinary clarity and vivid colours.

Tijara Fort Palace – Neemrana’s New Property

Tijara Fort Palace – Neemrana’s New Property

Hi Everyone!

Most you must have known by now that I’m married and it’s going to be a month today. Normally couples go for their honeymoon right after they are married. But we decided to do something different! We decided to go for a honeymoon vacation in February but no one can stop us taking weekend trips and exploring new places, right?

Mainly we decided to go in February because, we wanted to relax and then go for a vacation. Trust me, getting married made us both so tired and it took a week  to settle down. But we managed to  take a weekend trip to the Tijara Fort Palace, which is a Neemrana Heritage property and is only 117kkm far from Delhi. The fort is at Alwar-Biwari road and it took around 3 hour drive to reach at the fort with really scary mountain drive where there was literally no road and it was dark by the time we reach there.

In 1835 CE Balwant Singh started the construction of a Fort-Palace after the name of his mother Moosi Maharani as well as a grand Hawa Mahal. Famous architects and masons from Kabul and Delhi were engaged in its construction. Because of the premature death in 1845 CE – probably from murder, the construction remained incomplete till now when it has been leased to Neemrana Hotels to restore, complete and run it as a heritage hotel.

When we first saw the fort, the only thing which came to our mind was the word ‘Beautiful’. The fort is huge and it looked amazing at night. By the time we reached at the hotel, the tea time was already over thus we waited for the dinner. We had a little snack and wine which we brought with us. There were few things which we did not like and  one of them was no room service. The dinner was equally pathetic with Dal Tarka in the menu.

We were staying at the Madonna Mahal, which was actually a bit far from the main fort. You have to walk a bit  to reach to Mardana and the area between both the palace and Mardana is under construction. The next day, we got up a bit late and the breakfast timing is from 8-10am. By the time we reached at the restaurant it was already 9.30am, the buffet breakfast was still going on. We were eating and then the second unfortunate thing happened. The restaurant staff started switching off the lights and one waiter just asked us if we need anything else because they are shutting down the buffet. Like seriously? You cannot ask your guests this till they are finished!  After all of this we went to see the pool area. The pool area is still under construction and as the weather was cold and the water too, we decided not to dip in the pool.img_8761-1img_8724-1img_8723-1

We also managed to click this lookbook while we were enjoying the afternoon roaming around. I love oversized pieces and pairing them with structured bottoms. I recently bought this oversized sweatshirt from Forever21 and flaunting it with my denim shorts made the pairing cool. The look is perfect for light winters and vacation. By the night, I changed the shorts and wore a jeans as the weather got colder.img_8724-1img_8673-1

The second day dinner was a little better than the first day, but it was still not up to the mark and the behavior of the staff was not very friendly. We have been to Hill Fort Kesroli several times, which is also a Neemrana property and we did not have any sort of complain from that place. Then the third misfortunate thing happened! After the dinner we were roaming around and suddenly we realized that they have switched off all the lights of the pathway through which we have to go back to Mardana Mahal and most of the palace lights. Frankly, I got a little paranoid and scared that point as we saw labours working during the day time and now it’s no light on the pathway which is under construction and gosh, how will we reach back and there were no hotel staff. We almost ran towards our room with our mobile flash lights on. We really got disappointed on this that we decided not to come here again.img_8691-1img_8731-1img_8739-1img_8715-1img_8684-1

Next day at the time of the checkout, we told all our issues to the manager. He was so sweet that he patiently listen to all our issues and told us that he will immediately take action against it. He also asked us to write all our issues so that he can show it to his senior manager. He also did not charge us for the dinners saying that it will be bad on his part to take money for what we never liked. If I have to say some good points about this trip was the beauty of the fort and the manager.

So, if you guys are planning for a trip and want to stay at Tijara Fort Palace, I would recommend you to postpone the same for at least 5-6 years as the fort is under construction and I hope the service and food gets better after it will be fully constructed. You can visit Neemrana’s other properties as they are beautiful and I can personally vouch for Hill Fort Kesroli. Thank you so much for reading.

Outfit Post – AIFWSS17 Street Style – Day 5

Outfit Post – AIFWSS17 Street Style – Day 5

Hi Everyone!

Finally, here is the look of my AIFWSS17 Day 5. I’m not uploading any designer wear from that day because I did not like anything in particular. The experience this season was good with some new designers, fun nights and some really awesome designs. I feel AIFW got really good and fun since they changed the venue. Fashion week also calls for great street styles and this year we saw some amazing people doing the same. This is actually the first time I attended the fashion week for all five days and posted my looks on the blog.

For this look, I sourced the garment from Rent-A-Closet who are currently available on Facebook and you can rent their garments to wear for your special occasion. I selected this Manish Arora outfit for the last day of fashion week. Manish Arora  is one of my all time favourite designers and wearing his design is a dream come true.

As you must have seen my other looks from AIFW, I wore something which is a statement Indian piece. Keeping the trend going on further, I added the Nath to go with this flowy dress. I love the upper cape which came with the dress which had such stunning print and embroidery which gave the whole outfit a color pop.

I hope you like the look. Thank you so much for reading.

Outfit Post – AIFWSS17 Street Style – Day 4

Hi Everyone,

I got so busy last couple of days that I didn’t get time to post my AIFW day 4 and day 5 looks. Now without any further delay, here is my day 4 look and some of my favourite designers outfits from day 4.

I wore Gautam Gupta for the day 4 of AIFW. When I saw this outfit from his collection, I immediately fell in love with it. Overall the dhoti and the crop top combination went so well with the India Modern theme of the fashion week. To give it a western twist, I added my waist coat with it which also helped me fight the chilly wind at night.

I’m a big fan of MathaPatti and I thought that this outfit can never look better without this one. I specially went to market after receiving the garment to hunt for this MathaPatti and picked this one and this is exactly the same I wanted. The Gandhi Glasses added the punk feel to the look and to tell you the truth this pairing is my personal favourite out of all the outfits I wore for the fashion week this season.

I hope you like the look.

We Are Getting Married

We Are Getting Married

Hi Everyone!

The heading of this post might have made you excited and interested to read the full post because its true and we are finally getting married. If you guys follow our blog and snapchat you guys must already know about this news. I’m writing this post at 1am and today’s our official engagement date and after 2 days we will be married! We did our pre-wedding shoot a few weeks ago and here I’m sharing some of the moments of our life.

collage01 img_2908-1 saurabh-ruchika-114-2

I always believe that you should be with someone who understands you, make you feel special and be there with you in all your ups and downs. When I met Saurabh, we both were very young and started our relationship with friendship.  After a year of friendship we confessed that what we have is more than friendship and then, there was no looking back. As each day passed, we have built our relationship stronger and stronger. Through all ups and downs, he was there holding my hand and telling me that I can pass this storm. Now, after eleven years of our relationship we still feel our bonding is growing and we fall in love with each other everyday.

img_3135 vik22-1

I will be telling lies if I will say that we do not fight. Relationships are a complicated form of trust, fights, love and care. Each flight we had in the past made us stronger and a better person for each other. We always tried to change ourself to comfort the other. I can proudly say that he makes me realize how beautiful I’am and what I can achieve in life. Whenever I fall back, he sings to me “Chalang Chalang laga tu Chalang. Lagake tu chalang badalo ho savar, himmat karne valo ki hoti nai haar” and I smile back.

vik6-1 vik11-1 vik9-1 img_2978-1

He was the reason, I started blogging. I was very inclined towards fashion from the starting when he suggested that we should both start this blog. From that time onwards I was the face of the blog and he worked behind the camera. We worked really hard and made the blog where it stands right now. We both are very excited for the big day of our life and we want your love and support. I will be doing snapchat where you can catch me while we go through the ceremonies. Cannot wait to start this new chapter of my life.

Thank you so much for reading our story.

UCB Fights Against Breast Cancer

UCB Fights Against Breast Cancer

Hi Everyone!

I have seen and worked with many brands in the past and very less brands do something good for the society. I believe people or brands that can do something for the society to make a change should come up and help the world to be a better place to live. We have recently got lucky to associate with an event like this which was hosted by United Colours of Benetton(UCB) to fight and spread the awareness of breast cancer.

We all know that cancer is one such disease which is not curable if detected at the last stage, but is manageable if we know about this in early stages. I’m pretty sure that most of us have someone or the other in their family or known one fighting with this disease. It is very important to know more about this and aware people in rural areas where people do not have much knowledge. I was so happy when I got to know that UCB is conducting an awareness program and setting up a camp for breast cancer awareness at Village Nakhrola, Manesar. UCB invited us to take part in this association and do live updates on our social handles.

UCB organized their team, doctors and village representative to make this initiative. Mr. Subhash Yadav who is one of the village representatives made this activity a running success and he helped UCB to reach the people of Village Nakhrola, Manesar and set up this camp. When we talked to him, he said he has been organizing these camps for the past thirteen years and this time UCB showed initiative and made this a huge success. Starting with talking to the village Samiti and the school where this camp happened to distributing the pamphlets, Mr. Subhash Yadav has done it all and we all are very thankful to him. Around 200 women showed up for the checkup and being educated about the breast cancer.

There were five booths to go through the whole checkup process which started with the registration, followed by the blood test, then to the E&T checkup, special gynecologist checkup and then finally if required the X Ray which was organized in a vanity Bus. We saw all aged group women coming and participating in this association. We drove almost 60kms to participate in the UCB initiate of Breast Cancer awareness and indeed it was a pleasure to be a part of this amazing work.

img_8612-1 img_8593-1

I would love to participate in more of these events and spread the word. Getting yourself checked up  once in a year is must because you all are important to your dear ones and UCB has made that happen in Village Nakhrola, Manesar and we wish more people and brands do these awareness programs and help the country grow further. Thank you so much for reading!
